Two-way, full-range 5-inch coaxial loudspeaker

The professional high-power installation loudspeaker system shall be a two-way full-range design incorporating a 5-inch (127 mm) low-frequency ceramic transducer with a 1.75-inch (44.5 mm) voice coil and a coaxial high-frequency tweeter with a 1-inch (25 mm) voice coil mounted coaxially with the LF transducer.

The coverage shall be 110° conical and respect Direct Match Transition (DMT) technology.

The loudspeaker system shall operate in passive mode (single channel) with a crossover frequency of 2900Hz.

The loudspeaker system shall meet the following performance criteria: frequency response of 72 Hz to 20 kHz, measured on-axis; sensitivity (1W @ 1m) of minimum 88 dB SPL in free field; maximum rated SPL at 1m (passive) of 102 dB continuous and 114 dB peak (crest factor of 12 dB); rated power capacity (passive) of continuous 180W based on a two-hour power test; nominal impedance of 8 Ohms.

The loudspeaker system input connector shall be one Euroblock connector. 

The loudspeaker enclosure shall be asymmetrical offering a 15° angle between sides and constructed of 12 mm Baltic birch exterior plywood and finished in black polyurea paint (RAL 9011). The front of the loudspeaker shall be protected by an 18-Gauge (1.2 mm) powder-coated steel grille that is lined with acoustically transparent backing and a stainless metallic screen to prevent water ingress and is free of logos or other embellishment. This grille shall be treated against UV and corrosion. The loudspeaker shall be IP54, and all exterior fasteners shall be stainless steel. The input cup shall be protected by a sealing plate.

The enclosure shall have two M8 inserts located on center of gravity on the top and bottom for an optional yoke bracket as well as two M8 inserts (pitch 2.75 in / 70mm) on top and bottom and 2 M8 inserts on the rear (pitch 2.36 in / 60mm) for an optional flush mount bracket.

The loudspeaker system enclosure shall be 7.1 inches (180 mm) high, 7.9 inches (200 mm) wide, and 7.1 inches (180 mm) deep. The loudspeaker shall have a net weight of no more than 13.4 lbs (6.1 kg).

The two-way full-range loudspeaker system shall be the Q-SYS PL-CA5 loudspeaker.
